OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 – The Menace Academy 12U girls ended their fall season with a successful run at the Aldi Heartland Invitational Tournament last weekend.
They swept through group play prior to meeting Vision Soccer Academy 06 (Waukee) in Sunday’s 12U Girls Green final. After two goals each from Emily Henigan and Addison Janssen, the game finished 4-0 in favor of the Menace.
“Another great weekend for the 12U group,” head coach Russ Fortune said. “This same group finished second at this tournament last year which really motivated them to play good soccer and prove themselves this year.”
The Menace Academy 11U and 13U girls also competed in this all-girls tournament. Neither of these teams advanced out of their group.
